On March 1, Tianhua Institute and Sinopec Catalyst Co., Ltd. jointly undertook the two projects of "Development of Precise Temperature Control Roasting Furnace and Explosion-proof High-efficiency Rotary Flash Drying Equipment" and "Large-scale Vacuum Vertical Roasting Furnace for 5A Molecular Sieve" in Nanjing, which were evaluated by the scientific and technological achievements organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology of Sinopec.
In the project of "5A Molecular Sieve Vacuum Vertical Roasting Furnace Large-scale", Tianhua Institute innovated and designed a unique sealing system on the basis of pilot-scale study of the Molecular Sieve Adsorbent Vacuum Vertical Roasting Furnace, developed the high temperature sealing technology and the automatic control technology of feeding and discharging materials, achieved a good sealing of the roasting system, and ensured a stable high vacuum. The developed continuous vacuum roaster has good sealing effect in industrial application. It can maintain a stable high vacuum during drying roasting process. The loss of adsorption capacity of zeolite adsorbent after roasting is less than 5%. The product performance is superior to that of similar adsorbents in the world.
The characteristics of SMTO molecular sieve were studied. The feeding and mixer structure of rotary flash dryer were optimized. A safe, environmentally friendly and efficient rotary flash drying system was developed. According to the characteristics of roasting materials, the main material of the roasting furnace was optimized, the inner components, furnace structure, sealing structure, cooling and precise temperature control system were optimized, and a set of technology suitable for SMTO catalyst roasting was formed. The results of industrial application show that the accuracy of temperature control in roasting process is within (+2 C), the product quality is stable, the capacity of the unit meets the design requirements, and meets the requirements of long-term stable operation. Its social and economic benefits are obvious.
